Our roots

Jewels in Paradise was founded by Dinesh & Anju Wadhwani in 2003. They’ve had many stores on Aruba, but currently, Jewels in Paradise is located at The Shops at The Ritz-Carlton Aruba, The Shops at The Ritz-Carlton Turks & Caicos and in Miami, Florida. Jewels in Paradise is known for great prices, unsurpassed quality, and the uniqueness of every piece. 

Gemstones and semi-precious stones are Dinesh’s favorite. He sources the stones and Anju gets the design going. All of our pieces are handmade in Vicenza, Italy and our diamonds are cut and polished in Antwerp, Belgium. We are well aware that trust plays a huge factor, this is why we offer a lifetime warranty on all our pieces. If anything does happen we have a Service Center in the USA. All you have to do is contact us, we will fix it and send it right back. With every purchase, you get a certified appraisal from us and an independent company from New York.

How did it all start? 

It all started in 1993 when Dinesh decided to attend the Gemological Institute of India. He graduated on February 15, 1995. Anju and Dinesh were high school sweethearts, as they call it. They loved each other, but in order to marry Anju, Dinesh had to get a job. His uncle found an opening at one of the very first jewelry stores in Aruba. After almost 2 years, Dinesh returned to India to marry Anju. They got married on the 3rd of July in 1998. Anju and Dinesh moved to Aruba and worked for a couple of jewelry stores. The couple always hoped to open their own jewelry store one day.

In 2001, their first daughter, Rhea, was born. In 2003, their second daughter, Sufi, was born. In that same year, Dinesh and Anju opened their very own jewelry store at the Renaissance Marketplace in Aruba. At one point, in 2008, Anju and Dinesh had three stores on the island. In this same year, the company started designing some of its own pieces. Eight years later, in December 2016 Jewels in Paradise opened at the Ritz-Carlton, Aruba. In 2018 Jewels in Paradise became a GIA Listed jewelry store.

We hope to keep growing and striving to be the hip, modern and contemporary jewelry company that we are. We are continuously working on growing the company and hope to take you with us.
